Napocut Independence Scarf Launch, accompanied by a webinar with Mrs. Elly Risman

Peluncuran Scarf Kemerdekaan napocut, Disertai Webinar bersama Ibu Elly Risman

Every August, we are reminded of the meaning of independence. But have we ever asked ourselves, “Am I truly free from within?”. From this, a passion grew that napocut wanted to present through the launch of the Parasya Scarf, a special independence collection that we complemented with a warm conversation with an inspirational figure, Mrs. Elly Risman, who is known as a psychologist and Parenting Expert.

In a webinar titled “Modern Women: Keeping Our Steps in Alignment with Fitrah (Nature)”, Mrs. Elly invited us to look inward. We are sometimes too busy meeting the world's expectations that we forget to see who we really are.

Well, for those nicePeople who couldn't join us, don't worry! We have summarized the important insights here, complete with tips you can apply.

1. Self-Discovery is Not Easy

Often we move quickly, meeting other people's expectations, until we forget to ask the most important thing: “What do I need?”

Mrs. Elly reminded us, “Starting today, before we do something, 'look in' first or get to know yourself.” A simple sentence, but it holds great power. Getting to know yourself is not about ego, but so that we can step in the right direction.

What You Can Do:

- Set aside 10 minutes a day to reflect without distractions

- Write down the things you are grateful for and 1 thing you want to improve

- Before making a decision, ask yourself: What is the impact?

2. The Influence of the Family Environment

Only 20% of our traits are inherited, while 80% are influenced by the environment, especially the family. That is why parenting is not just a routine, but a foundation for life.

As Mrs. Elly said, “Parenting shapes the KHK: Self-Concept, Self-Esteem, and Self-Confidence.” If the foundation is strong, a child will grow with healthy confidence and be ready to face the outside world.

What You Can Do:

- Build warm and honest communication at home

- Appreciate the process, not just the results

- Lead by example, because children learn from what they see

3. How School & Society Play a Role in Self-Formation

The environment outside the home also plays a major role, especially schools and social media. Information now flows heavily, but not all of it is good. If not fortified with values, a child can be swept away by the current.

Mrs. Elly warned, “We must be aware of the influence of media, including the risk of gadget addiction and exposure to negative content.” Therefore, it is important for parents to choose an environment that supports positive character.

What You Can Do:

- Choose a school that aligns with your family values

- Set time limits for gadget usage

- Guide your children to be wise in choosing content

4. The Key to Understanding & Improving Self-Confidence

We often feel inadequate because we are busy comparing ourselves to others. In fact, self-confidence is not born from perfection, but from the courage to accept oneself.

“Know yourself, realize your strengths and weaknesses, and forgive the past,” said Mrs. Elly. That way, our steps will feel lighter.

5. Tips for Designing a Future in Alignment with Fitrah

Change might sound scary, but without it, we will only stay in place. “The keyword is that we must have the 'C' spirit, or the spirit of change,” Mrs. Elly advised firmly. Every small step toward goodness is a victory for ourselves.

Thank you to all the nicePeople who participated in this webinar with Mrs. Elly Risman. We hope that every insight gained can serve as a reminder to continue #WalkingTogether in accordance with fitrah.
