naPocut poured its long journey in the modest fashion industry into the “Self Revelation” collection. There were 16 looks that naPocut presented at Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2024.
naPocut brought the Self Revelation collection to a fashion show titled “Moment of Spark” at Pondok Indah Mall 3 on Saturday (28/10). On this runway alongside local brands Bigissimo and 4Season Hijab, naPocut showcased its latest creations before the country's fashion enthusiasts. Moment of Spark marked naPocut's second participation in the grand Jakarta Fashion Week event.
Carrying the theme of Self Revelation, naPocut shares a story of reflection on a journey filled with ups and downs over 18 years in the Muslim fashion world. The collection for JFW 2024 was inspired by the philosophy of a chick, whose life begins only when it hatches from its eggshell. In the same way, naPocut dares to reveal itself, much like a chick that has the courage to tap on its shell to reach a new phase of life.
This depiction was shown through a captivating video at the opening of the naPocut fashion show. Afterwards, the fashion show opened with a performance art piece by one of the models dancing in a black outfit paired with purple bottoms. Only then did the models take turns appearing to showcase the various Self Revelation collection pieces. The story of naPocut's journey reflection was poured into 16 looks consisting of a mix of tops, bottoms, dresses, and scarves.
In the middle of the fashion show, four models returned to perform a dance while wearing naPocut outfits. The theatrical concept accompanied by dramatic music provided a stunning and intense performance. Naturally, this appearance created a different impression from last year's runway debut, which is hoped to become a new memory for nicePeople and fashion lovers.
Towards the end of the runway, muses Adelia Pasha and Alika Islamadina modeled two maroon dress collections complemented by shoes from Ride Inc Female. At the close of the fashion show, Zada Amanda, Dina Fadia, and Cut Desi Ardila, the owners of naPocut, appeared having successfully brought the Self Revelation collection to the Jakarta Fashion Week stage.
With stunning creative exploration, naPocut made many developments at JFW 2024. Starting from the use of manual and digital embroidery techniques, printing techniques, bolder color palettes, to the use of silhouettes to produce a chic yet elegant nuance in the Self Revelation collection. There were also improvisations of lace details, smock, tassel accents, and sequins.
“This JFW collection is a form of naPocut's self-development. naPocut wants to grow and be agile with the current market. naPocut wants to provide something new while maintaining its brand identity. We want both, where we remain focused on the naPocut identity without forgetting the importance of adaptation to suit the dynamics of the fast-moving fashion world,” explained Zada Amanda, CEO of naPocut.
Overall, the atmosphere built in the Self Revelation collection is very diverse as it shows the phases of change in naPocut's creative journey since 2005 until it finally reached this stage. The combination of designs and cuttings, different from previous collections, certainly gives a new color as a representation of authentic self-revelation. However, naPocut does not forget to maintain the identity that has existed for a long time and applies the concept of neutral color in a different way.
